A doctor in the heart of the Médina of Marrakech
From the souks to the Koutoubia, we reach the riads, guesthouses and homes of the old town at any hour.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Médina brings together Marrakech families, craftspeople and travellers staying in riads often hidden behind a discreet door. The lanes look alike, house numbers are sometimes missing and many passages are closed to cars. Our doctor drives to the nearest point reachable by car, then finishes on foot with their medical bag. General consultation, a child’s fever, an older person feeling unwell or a night visit: our dispatch notes the address and agrees the best meeting point with you as soon as you call.
Helping the doctor find you
- First say which part of the Médina you are staying in (Mouassine, Kasbah, Riad Zitoun…), then the name of the derb (lane).
- Mention a monument visible from your door: a minaret, a fountain, a square.
- Share your live location on WhatsApp, which is invaluable when the street has no sign.
- If the entrance is in a dead end, say so: it is easy to miss after dark.
When should you call us?
- A traveller with gastroenteritis on the third day of their stay
- A fall on a riad staircase, leaving the person unable to come down
- A child’s persistent fever in a family home
- A medical certificate to cancel an excursion or a flight
