Bab Doukkala: your doctor comes to you
Between the shopping street, the coach station and the derbs of the north-western Médina, we visit homes and riads.
Bab Doukkala is one of the busiest entrances to the Médina. The main street is lined with stalls, bakeries and small workshops, while the nearby coach station sees travellers arriving from all over Morocco. Behind the bustle, the lanes are home to family houses and guest riads. The doctor drives to the gate, then walks to your address, along the shopping street or through the side passages. We receive many requests here for children, older people and travellers worn out by the journey.
Helping the doctor find you
- Place yourself in relation to the great Bab Doukkala mosque: before it, after it or opposite.
- At market times the main street is crowded: meeting under the gate makes arrival easier.
- Near the coach station, give the name of the hotel or building.
- For a derb without a sign, share your WhatsApp location on +212 6 06 32 03 20.
When should you call us?
- A traveller arriving by coach, exhausted or feverish
- Abdominal pain in an adult in the middle of the night
- A blood pressure check and ECG for an older person
- A child with an ear infection or sore throat at the weekend
