Moulay Lyazid: doctor at home and at your riad
Around the Kasbah Mosque, we visit residents and riad guests alike.
The name Moulay Lyazid refers to the lanes surrounding the Moulay El Yazid Mosque, known as the Kasbah Mosque, in the south of the Médina. Restored riads, guesthouses and family homes sit side by side, a short distance from the Saadian Tombs. In the evening the area grows quiet and the doors look alike: it is best to agree on a meeting place. The doctor stops near the mosque or Bab Agnaou, then finishes the route on foot. Visits by day, at night and at weekends, for adults and children.
Helping the doctor find you
- The minaret of the Kasbah Mosque can be seen from afar: give your position in relation to it.
- Give the exact name of the riad as it appears on your booking.
- If the lane is a dead end, say so to save the doctor turning back.
When should you call us?
- A traveller who starts vomiting during the night
- A child on holiday with a high fever
- An older visitor whose high blood pressure is poorly tolerated
