Kennaria is one of those Médina districts where people live and work in the same place: workshops on the ground floor, homes above, children playing in the derb. The souks and Jemaa el-Fna are close by, as is Bahia Palace, yet the feel remains residential. The passages, narrow and sometimes covered, are closed to cars. The doctor leaves the car at the edge of the district and walks to you. We mostly see children, craftspeople injured in their workshops and older people here.
