Doctor home visits in Bab Taghzout and Sidi Bel Abbès
In the northern part of the Médina, we visit families and guesthouses, including late in the evening.
Once the northern gate of the city, Bab Taghzout now stands inside the Médina, since the wall was later pushed further out. The area revolves around the zaouïa of Sidi Bel Abbès, one of the seven saints of Marrakech, which draws pilgrims and visitors. The streets are quieter than around Jemaa el-Fna, with many long-established families. The doctor parks beside the main road, passes under the arch and walks down your lane.
Helping the doctor find you
- Give your position in relation to the Sidi Bel Abbès zaouïa or the Bab Taghzout arch.
- Say whether the house opens onto the main street or a side lane.
- Leave a light on at the entrance: at night, the façades look very much alike.
When should you call us?
- An older person living alone who has been taken ill
- A visitor affected by the heat after a long walk
- A medical certificate requested by an employer or a school
